Local AI Walk: How do you set up the local infrastructure and what energy savings does it deliver?

Many AI applications run on large data centers far outside the city or even abroad. This raises questions about energy consumption, privacy and sovereignty. Local AI offers an alternative: small, energy-efficient AI models that run close to the city, on local infrastructure, with local data. This is not only about technology. It is about digital sovereignty, public control and the question of how cities can deploy AI without becoming dependent on Big Tech.
During the outdoor sessions we explore what that means in practice.
In this session we look at data and AI in the city through a processing lens. What data do we see and how should this data be processed? What human knowledge is needed for that? Can that be organized locally?
