The DMI ecosystem has been set up to facilitate, to the greatest possible extent, the secure and trustworthy sharing of data and knowledge, the creation of standards, and the development of innovative solutions for smart and sustainable cities. But how does data sharing work in an era where AI agents are the new consumers? And how can you trust such an agent? Hayo Schreijer (Dexes) works on the data marketplace at DMI and explains how the DMI ecosystem is becoming fully “FAIR”: Fully AI ready.
European:
As European cities navigate green and digital transitions, AI, Local Digital Twins (LDTs) and the emerging Citiverse are becoming key instruments for data-driven urban planning, climate resilience, and citizen engagement. This pitch provides a concise overview of the EU strategic initiatives, funding opportunities, and collaborative ecosystems supporting urban digital twins, converging on the European Digital Infrastructure Consortium for Local Digital Twins and Citiverse (EDIC LDT-Citiverse). We will explore how these frameworks open concrete innovation opportunities for municipalities, SMEs, and research ecosystems across Europe. Grounded in practical implementation, the session will highlight case studies from Luxembourg that illustrate how local digital twins and AI technologies are tested, experimented with, and applied to real-world municipal challenges, exploring also how the EDIC LDT Citiverse will be able to further support replication across European cities.
